So I decided on a little change from the Historical Romance to a Contemporary Romance, Thriller. And  I have to tell you it was different and surprisingly entertaining. i had you questioning the chapters from beginning to end.

Well it starts with a young woman running away from her home town after somehow escaping a mental institution. Apparently she has been either witness to or a participant in her father's death- and loosing her memory at that critical moment. Seeing how she and her mother- being abused repeatedly by her husband- have equal motive for wanting her father dead, are both prime suspects.  Enter her loyal husband, who also wants her back at any cost and uses the t.v. media to insinuate that she is mentally unstable. And who also have something to do with why she  was in the mental institute in the first place.

So, Sally decides to run off to the only other family she figures would help her, her aunt Amabel. Amabel is a sweet lady who lives kinda like a hippie in a very small town, very picturesque town, of The Cove that boasts of the World's Greatest Ice Cream. That is truly made up of only senior citizens.

Enter a cute young Private Investigator that just starts asking questions of an old couple that just happen to have went missing 3 years ago after visiting the same town. All the citizens that are questioned about their mysterious disappearance, starts acting quite strange all stating they haven't seen them, having never met them and all lying. Quite strange to P.I. to witness collective amnesia where these missing folk are concerned.

Sally starts doubting her sanity when she starts receiving calls from her dead father, then it gets stranger when a body turns up being washed up on shore. So you know it all goes down hill from there. In a town that also boast no crime for a body to show up, and also being a body of a young woman, things just start getting stranger and stranger.

What is going on in this little town, how is it possible that Sally's father calling her, how is the town so prosperous with senior citizens where there are no jobs?  Is this town as really as crime-free as the citizens would have you believe? Who really killed Sally's father? Why was she in a mental institution if she wasn't crazy? Who really put her there?

You wouldn't really believe the way this story ends. You will never look at grandma the same way again.

Well I have completed both How To Engage an Earl and How To Propose to A Prince, and I have to say that I feel that while I have been left pondering how is it that the Author Katheryn Caskie could end the final chapter like that, making it seem like there is a possibility for some sort of sequel. Really and truly of the trilogy I found the third installment -How to Propose to A Prince most exciting to read, because its hot steamy and because it had the most intrigue.  It was like all the other books before built you up for the grand finale.

With Anne's character, I can almost relate, I know everyone has a moment when they just want to be invisible but this girl took it to another level. Who would've thought that trying to be invisible could have such dire consequences? She ended up catching the eye of the tons most notorious rake.  Then obligated -after being caught in a compromising position- to be engaged to him but only as the most elaborate way to impress someone else.........Crazy isn't it?

In the novel How to Propose to A Prince, Elizabeth dreamed herself married to the Prince who has plans to wed the Princess of England.   Even with everyone -including her sisters-  saying that her dream was probably misinterpreted she stood her ground when everything around was proving otherwise.

It was a good read even though I was kinda pissed in the end when it was explained the actual mystery behind the birth if the triplets. All in all i give these books a 7/10 rating.

Well I have just started another series-the Royle Sisters, by Kathryn Caskie. Truthfully I haven't really read any novels by this author, but I was surprised by the style of writing. I have read the first installation to the novels and currently on the second installation. Well the really cool thing is the turn of events that started the novel was well written. It makes you want to get into the story, it brings you there. It starts with the death of their "father" the country physician, who happen to not be who they expected. Apparently he was actually a physician to their real father, and unbelievably upon the death of their real mother- during childbirth- he ended up taking them to the country and grew them up as his own.

Fast forward to the future, the sisters decided to take matters into their own hands  to the oldest decided that she is fancy herself in love with the war hero, viscount and that he is her future intended, not knowing that his brother the Duke will hear nothing of the sort.  He will make sure no fortune-hunting country miss  will take advantage of his little brother and takes it upon himself to stop at nothing to make sure that, that precise situation will not come about no matter what he has to do.
